Privacy Policy

Capzy: AI Captions for Reels helps you turn everyday moments and creative ideas into captions. This policy explains, in plain terms, what happens to your information when you use Capzy. The app is provided by Ingeborg Steenbergen ("we", "us"). Effective date: 28.10.2026.

The short version

Capzy has no accounts and no sign-in. We don't ask for your name, email address or password. We process what you submit so we can write your captions, and we use a small set of services to handle purchases and subscriptions.

What we collect, and what we don't

We process the content you submit to create a caption, such as your prompt or description, along with the caption we return. Our subscription service may also receive technical details like an anonymous app identifier, device and app information, and purchase or subscription status. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or payment card details. Because there is no sign-in, we do not build a personal profile tied to your identity.

Where your captions are made

Caption generations run on our own backend. Your input is sent from the app to our servers, processed there to produce your caption, and the result is sent back to you. We use your input only to provide this feature.

Services we work with

Apple App Store: distributes the app and processes all purchases and subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Adapty: when used, it helps us track subscription status, such as whether your subscription is active, and provides subscription analytics so we can understand how the app is doing. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies.

Payments and subscriptions

All payments go through Apple. Apple handles your billing details, and we never see or store your card information. Adapty, when used, receives information about your purchases and subscription status so the app can unlock the right features and so we can view aggregated subscription analytics.

How long we keep things

We keep the information we process only for as long as we need it to run Capzy, deliver your captions, support your subscription and meet legal obligations. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous. Information held by Apple or Adapty is kept according to their own retention policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Since Capzy has no accounts, we may ask for details that help us locate your data, such as information about your purchase. You may also have other rights under the law that applies to you, such as correcting or restricting the use of your data. Purchase records held by Apple are managed through your Apple account.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date shown here. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or on its App Store page.
